In keeping with its policy of customer satisfaction, PCI now offers custom gas sterilization service using Ethylene Oxide (EO) at its well equipped facilities at Cochin and Bangalore.
Our experienced technical staff, supported by a vast network of offices and field personnel, ensure prompt and efficient service to our customers. Material to be treated is sealed in packing suitable for penetration of EO and then loaded into a vacuum chamber.
EO eliminates micro-organisms rendering the product sterile and lowers the total bacterial count to acceptable levels in pharma/cosmetic grade raw material and dehydrated food products for both domestic and export requirements.

The air is gradually evacuated so as to free the surface of the material from absorbed natural gases and subsequently replaced by EO at a pre-determined concentration. EO gas sterilization is achieved under four controlled parameters: Gas Concentration, Temperature, Humidity & Exposure Period. These parameters for treatment of various products commonly produced and used in our country have been standardised by PCI.
